Holland Hettinger
Age 12
Holland was born in Oceanside, California. Except for 2 years that Holland lived in Connecticut as a toddler, Holland has spent the majority of her life in the Oceanside/Vista area. Holland is the oldest of 3 children.
Holland has attended Vista Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts since
kindergarten. While there, she has enjoyed singing with the Music
Makers and the Middle School Show Choir. As a member of these choral
groups she
has performed in many venues including Qualcomm Stadium and the Avo Theater.
Holland's choirs have sung the National Anthem for several Padres Games.
Holland is an excellent student who has been consistently awarded her school's Gold Renaissance Card for "straight A" report cards. Holland is a talented artist and excels in pencil and line drawing. Her portfolio includes many of her own clothing designs. Holland is looking forward to her 6th soccer season this summer. She hopes to continue to play forward, a favorite position. Holland has had the opportunity to visit 22 states in the United States while vacationing with her family. Holland serves in a leadership position in her church youth group. During her free time, Holland enjoys reading, shopping and socializing.
Holland has been studying the piano privately for over 6 years and receives
superior rankings from the National Guild Organization for her performance.
Holland is currently serving as the pianist for the Children's Sunday School
program at her church. Holland's musical foundation allowed her
to easily include harp study to her musical repertoire. Holland is in
her second year of harp study with Lea Bennett, a professional harpist and
instructor.
